Photos, my dearie ducks (four and a half hours sleep in this weather SUCKS ROYALLY)

From top to bottom, the front, the back, and a sort of "well it's 3D and I'm trying to show that off and taking a picture of my left hand in the process". In the background, my unmade bed, the chair, Beeblebear (the pink thing), a couple of plastic crates (the blue thing) and my Brownie cupboard (full to overflowing).
The silver dingly bits don't show very well in anything. But the stars (glued on, I wasn't sewing any more at that hour, trust me - the dingles and the heart were quite enough, along with the waistband elastic) are showing quite nicely - you can see they're three different shades of pink.
A few stats. At its narrowest, the bit at the back is 8 stitches wide. At its widest, the pouch is 60 stitches wide. There are 190 (ish) stitches round the waistband. I cast on after Guides on Tuesday, knit like a maniac, and finished the pouch section before Morris on Wednesday. During the one dance I sat out on Wednesday, I cut the back stringy bit in half, and picked up for the lengthening. This was accomplished, with the grafting, and the casting on for the waistband, in the pub after Morris (ooooh. sweaty. And great gleeful cries of "Tink's knitting a dick bag" from Fiona.). Knitting was finished some time after midnight on Wednesday, with the aid of 'A Beautiful Mind', and crocheting was embarked on. It said 'Single Crochet' - now, I haven't the faintest clue what that is, it's not in my crochet book, I think it's an American term. So I did double crochet all the way round. 190 round the waist, not sure what round the legs. That took me to 1.15 am, and then I got to the elastic. 1.30-1.45. Jelly Babies were consumed. Switched over to watching 'Relative Values' on the grounds that it's nice enough background noise, but not something I would have to see the end of (and is on DVD, so didn't involve changing around cables). I would rather have had Cambridge Spies, but someone is still borrowing it. Decoration followed (and the exciting realisation that I can make the tassels detachable - they came with plastic bits, which will be uncomfortable to wear, but this is an objet rather than something practical for lord's sake!). Done by 2.15 am, all packed up by half past, in and out of the shower by 2.40 am, and a very short read later, in bed and asleep.
The current prediction is that at my current rate of progress, I won't see 50. Thank you for that cheerful thought.
At least I shall have lived a full life and given a deal of pleasure.

Ooh, at some point (and I mean after Brownie camp), may I have the pattern so I can make one for James. I need to progress from scarves, and I think a thong would make more sense in this weather.
Hmmm - did you ever decided on a birthday present for himself ?!!!!!!!
L xx
Oh, so pretty
OMG---you should open your own business selling those I would buy a dozen....great job.........
I still can't believe you knit that! LOL!
Single crochet: Insert hook into stitch, wrap yarn around hook and pull through so there are two loops on the hook. Wrap yarn around hook and pull through both loops on hook. (Grandma taught me to crochet when I was 7).
OMG I love it! That's great. Hahahahaha
That's awesome! I had no idea one could even knit a thong. I knit half a scarf once and gave up.
