  • Comfort

Comfort involves an ancient sweater stolen 12 years ago from my very first boyfriend. A pair of socks made from yarn from OneHotProcessor and a pattern from a book given by FotheringtonThomas (please excuse lack of links, I have not worked out how to add them in when posting, lazily, from my BlackBerry). Comfort is finishing the sewing up of a baby surprise jacket, and the mending of a slightly broken bra (I really ought to hand wash the things). It's knitting socks for me, and a scarf for A, and Christmas Pudding hats for new twins.

Comfort lets one decompress from a morning spent at work. From a nasty, debilitating cold that's left me feeling wrung out and exhausted, struggling to breathe, panting gently and coughing wildly. Wobbly and tired, and in need of many cups of tea.
I like being snuggly warm, wrapped up in wool, watching The Princess Bride, the paper propped on my knee and a young Cary Elwes to admire.

    Xxx
