Eight years…
I’ve had this blog for 8 years today. So, happy blogiversary to me, and if you comment (shameless me), I’ll pick out some nice piece of Jubilee or Olympic memorabilia (notice how I didn’t say tat) and mail it to you…
In the meantime, have a picture from Trooping the Colour yesterday…Yes. I saw the Queen. I stopped taking pictures, and waved, and I’d swear she looked right at us and smiled a lovely happy beam.
(And no, I’m not posting from work. I put this onto auto-post, because I didn’t want to miss the date).

Happy Xangaversary! Do you still have your hug meter? I’ll go look after I finish commenting. I’ve only been following you for maybe four or five years; I’m not really sure how long it’s been but I’ve seen a lot of the changes you’ve gone through. And I’ve loved your wonderfully descriptive way of blogging about them.

My friend from Scotland made all kinds of fun of the whole Jubilee thing, but I kind of love all the pomp. And she deserves it, she’s seen the country through a lot and always seems like a “steady” presence. Which we definitely do not have here in the States.
