If ever..
...there was an argument to turn the heating on before November, I think this weather forecast is it:
Not only is it threatening to drop below freezing in the middle of the night, but it's going to try and snow. In October. Most peculiar. This is London, not Michigan.
I'm going to the theatre tonight, to see Waste at the Almeida. I shall not be home early enough to turn the heating on for this evening, but I do hope that I remember to turn it on so that we are not shivering tomorrow morning. And maybe, just maybe, if I turn the heating on, then the clothes that have been hanging on the rack in my sitting room since Sunday will actually dry, rather than sitting there in a faintly damp state and steaming up the windows. Incidentally, I think I'm doing a cracking job creating condensation on most windows at the moment, and must get the towel out to start mopping them before the wood takes it into its head to rot.

Checky your email. I'll send you a little gift box as soon as I see the IK Holiday out. I'll scan it up for you too, like last year.
Oh, and what's your fav color/fiber for socks?
@OneHotProcessor - I like machine washable wool socks, and I like all sorts of colours. Patterns. Whatever. If you want to rollaround in it and smooch it, I will probably love it. I will handwash though, if it's not machineable. I am good like that. Wool wears best.. The important thing is that they're not too stiff. ~x~
Well, it's snowing here in Nptn already.....blah! Wet and soggy snow
Go for the heating, say I!
Michigan you say?...:) Actually it's been getting down to about 30 degrees F here in the 'ol mitten, so it probably could snow but it hasn't quite yet; my friend in Minnesota told me this past Sunday it snowed there. Just out of curiosity when does it usually snow in London? Hope al is well.
P.S. I meant to write "hope ALL is well" not hope al is well =0
@markearthtourist - January or February. Maybe December if we're 'lucky'. ~x~
@markearthtourist - Sure did.
We typically have the same weather as London, so I feel your fear and pain! Looks like we are holding steady at 46°F / 7°C at nights this week - Whoo Hoo!!! Although, the hubby did ruin it and turn on the heat last week in the evenings.... darn him! Of course, that only means to 60°F/ 15.5°C...which maybe takes it up to 64°F/17°C in reality. I love living in a semi-hypothermic state don't you?
I can't read those temperatures!! jk
I would love to have snow right now
We had snow flurries yesterday. They didn't last long though.
I would so much rather have the snow than the nasty freezing rain that caught me unawares on my way home tonight. My hands were freezing. Needless to say, the heating is on. I couldn't bear it any longer!
So - any photos from last nights snow ?! ;o)
